This photo shows one section of the drawing on the fiberglass horse that is based upon the spring Blockhouse steeplechase event in Tryon. The entire horse had to be drawn so that the design could be carefully planned out before painting. The drawing and painting for the horse will be using photos that I have taken during the actual equestrian events for more accurate references. Once all the fiberglass horses are painted, (I am one of several artists asked to paint the different horses) they will be collected, clear coated at a car dealership and then displayed at the World Equestrian Games in September, 2018 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. After that event, they will be auctioned to individuals or businesses and placed around the Tryon, Landrum or Columbus area. That is the plan as I understand it at this point.
